Gin Sanches obtained his double Bachelor’s degrees in Applied Physics and Mechanical Engineering in 2023 at the Eindhoven University of Technology. After finishing his Bachelor, he spent one year as a member of the board of Study Association “J.D. van der Waals”, and continued in 2024 with his Master’s degree in Applied Physics in the Nano, Quantum and Photonics track. He came into contact with Shuxia Tao during her Advanced Materials Modeling course, which deepened his interest in computational material science.
As of January 2026, Gin has started his Master’s thesis in our group, focusing on exploring the application of DeepH machine learning method for quantum materials, bridging eletrconic structure theory with experiments, which perfectly aligns with his interests in computational methods.
Besides his studies, he pursues a hobby in IT systems.
