Sander Raaijmakers obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2019, with a thesis on the atomic layer deposition of cobalt phosphate for solar fuel applications.

He joined our group in September 2020 for his master thesis project on the development of Density Functional based Tight Binding (DFTB) method for large scale simulations of halide perovskites. In this project, he collaborated closely with José Manuel Vicent Luna. He defended his thesis in september and obtained mark of 9.5!

Currently, he is working on his internship with SCM and the project focus on implementing the visualization functions and workflow of on-the-fly Machine learning in AMS software.
