In collaboration with Prof. Qing Chen (Japan), Dr. Feng Liu, Junke jiang discovered small amount of Na improves significantly the optoeletronic properties of An-Pb perovskite alloy Quantum Dots.

Through incorporation of Na+ , we have realized for the first time efficient near-infrared emission from Sn-Pb alloyed perovskite QDs with substantially improved PL QY from ~0.3% to 28%. XPS analysis suggests Na dopant potentially stabilizes Sn2+ and I- ions by enhancing their chemical bonds and thus suppresses the formation of harmful trapping states. Our findings provide new insights into the materials design strategies for improved optoelectronic properties of Sn-containing perovskites.
